Best Chocolate Mint Protein Shake Recipe
Can we all agree that Christmas came around a little quicker than normal this year? We have about a week left to prepare for the big day. As most of you do, one of the things we enjoy during the holidays are the treats and food that we normally do not eat during the year. Since we love our health and bodies, we do have to be extra creative and swap out a lot of the unhealthier ingredients in our recipes. In our chocolate mint protein shake recipe we used Halo Top Ice Cream and instead of regular ice cream, which is lower in sugar, low in calories, low in fat and high in protein. It is a great alternative to regular ice cream.
Our Chocolate Mint Protein Shake is very easy to make and perfect for the Christmas holidays. Can be drank as a treat, pre-workout or post-workout. Let’s admit it, it can be drank anytime you are in the mood for a little treat without all of the added sugar or calories.
Best Chocolate Mint Protein Shake
Best Chocolate Mint Protein Shake Recipe is low in sugar, fat and calories and high in protein.
- 2 scoops Halo Top mint chip ice cream
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 drop peppermint extract
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 2 shots stevia
- 4 drops green food coloring
- 1/8 cup Walden Farms chocolate syrup
- 1 each fresh mint leaf
- 1 each green candy cane straw optional for decoration
- 1 handful mint chocolate chips optional for decoration
- 1 squirt sugar free whip cream
Blend the first 6 ingredients,
Add some chocolate syrup to the inside of the glass cup. Add the shake to glass.
Pour some whipped cream on top of shake.
Add the chocolate chips and the mint leaf for decoration to top.
