What is spirulina?

Spirulina is a superfood plant source of protein, minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. It is a blue-green algae. Spirulina has excellent nutritional content and amazing health benefits. It has a high vitamin and protein content, making it a great supplement for vegetarians.

What are the benefits of spirulina?

    1. Weight loss, Spirulina can is a nutrient rich, low calorie food which contains a lot of nutrition in a small amount of powder. Eating few calories contributes to weight loss. By using spirulina it may help people lose weight without risking loss of nutrition.
    1. Helps manage diabetes. A recent study found that spirulina can significantly lower a persons fasted blood glucose levels. This is a common problem in those with type 1 and 2 diabetes.


    2. Lowering Cholesterol, A study conducted in 2016, suggested that taking spirulina can have a positive impact on blood lipids. It was found to reduce total cholesterol and lower LDL cholesterol while increasing HDL (good) cholesterol.
