Traveling is one of the best things you can do for your health. It helps to relax and disconnect from the daily grind and stress. It helps your physical and mental health. It is great for the soul. There are no limits when it comes to traveling, except for what you can afford. You can sight-see around some of your most dreamed about countries or choose exotic adventures. Go by rails, car, or even by boat. There are just so many options, and they will all help you in ways that you have never imagined. It is time to start planning your itinerary and book that dream trip, start enjoying life.
One of our favorite trips, was our 2016 Summer Vacation travels to the Mediterranean. We visited a beautiful municipality by the name of Roses, in Costa Brava, Spain. We booked our stay in an amazing hotel, Vista Bella. Even the name is beautiful, in Spanish it means, "beautiful view"
We were lucky to have scored an ocean front magnificent suite.
We had a wonderful view to The Pirata Club, a beach club which had champagne flowing and music playing most of the day. We can see the boats pulling up and people getting off ready to have a great time.
While staying in this beautiful town, we learned there was a water park near by, we decided to venture out the following day to Aqua Brava. It was a great way to spend the day.
After leaving the water park we decided to hit a local Lebanese restaurant. We found El Barroco en Cadaques, Spain. We loved everything about it. From the entrance to the sweet owner whom taught my son the correct way of drinking tea, it was memorable.
We took the rest of week to explore and have a taste of the Spanish culture. One of our favorite treats was Jamon Pata Negra, also known as Jamon Iberico. It is a delicious cured ham made in Spain and made by Black Iberian Pigs. We are not normally pork eaters but one simply doesn't visit Spain, and leave without eating Pata Negra!
Of course, another must is La Paella Valenciana! A rich rice dish made with delicious seafood. There are many variations to this dish. My favorite is the Paella de Marisco, which is the seafood one.
We did stay active during our trip by hiking, walking, swimming and visiting the gym daily.
